Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace

Background

Blenheim Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, faced static visitor numbers, an ageing demographic and limitations in its visitor offer. Overcrowding, ageing exhibitions and inconsistent catering all posed risks to long-term growth.

Our Role

We worked with the senior team to refresh the Visitor Attraction Strategy, identifying priorities through workshops, benchmarking and mapping the visitor journey. We advised on improvements to the arrival experience, family attractions, Churchill storytelling, catering and events, ensuring commercial growth was balanced with conservation.

Outcomes

Blenheim has since introduced major new attractions including The Lost Garden play area and a reimagined Churchill Exhibition. These investments have breathed new life into the palace experience, broadened its family appeal and strengthened its reputation. The strategy supports sustainable income growth and positions Blenheim as a destination of both heritage and inspiration for the future.
